Benjamin L. Knisely, 78, of King went home to be with the Lord Saturday at home.
He was born in Queen, son of the late Harry and Lydia (Walter) Knisely. He married Donna Eicher on July 1, 1958, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Brian K. Knisely and wife, Diane, and Bradley N. Knisely and wife, Susan; a daughter, Shari Brown and husband, Ron, all of King; seven grandchildren: Stacey, Casey, Brooke, Jamie, Summer, Marissa and Tyler; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Annabelle Weyant of Bedford and Barbara Miller of Woodbury.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Clarence, Robert and Oliver Knisely; and three sisters: Dorothy Crosby, Jane Black and Florence Glass.
Ben attended the Claysburg Bible Church.
He was a 1953 graduate of Greenfield High School.
He retired from farming after 45 years and then built and operated King Valley Golf Course for the past 15 years.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Claysburg Bible Church, 11751 William Penn Road, Imler, PA 16655. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Pastor Keith Showalter officiating. Interment will be at Sproul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg Bible Church Building Fund.
