Howard M. Clark Sr., 84, Hollidaysburg, died Monday morning at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Miles and Grace (Frederick) Clark. He married Patricia A. McClain on July 3, 1951, in Hollidaysburg, and she died Aug. 15, 2004, after having shared 53 years of marriage.
Surviving are four daughters: Penny A. Kidd, Yvonne R. Stacey, Sheryl L. Wagner and Linda L. Walter, all of Hollidaysburg; a son, Howard M. Jr. in North Carolina; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; six sisters; and a brother.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia A., in 1959; and a son, Steven A., in 2010.
Howard retired as sexton in 1992 after 40 years of service at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg. He was an avid fisherman.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014, by the Rev Jaime G. Olson. Interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
