The 29th annual free admission Fall Harvest Gospel Music Festival will be held Aug. 29-31 and Sept. 1 at Camp Harmony Campgrounds, 1414 Plank Road, Hooversville.
Thirty-one gospel groups and soloists from Delaware, Ohio, Missouri, Arkansas, Virginia and Pennsylvania will participate. Singing will begin at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 and at 1 p.m. Aug. 30 to Sept. 1.
The festival will be held inside. Bring lawn chairs for seating. Food and refreshments will be sold. Hook-ups for campers will be available as well as cabins for rent. Reservations are required for cabins and may be obtained by calling 798-5885. A parking fee of $5 per car for all weekend will be collected to help with insurance costs.
Kid's Korner, an adult-supervised child craft activity program, will be open but children younger than 5 must be accompanied by an adult. A swimming pool and water slide will be open with a lifeguard on duty.
A chicken barbecue will be held at noon Saturday. Worship will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday with Tom Smith of Everett and junior church for the children.
Directions to find Camp Harmony: From the north, take Route 219 to the Davidsville exit. From the ramp, make a left turn on Route 403 south. Go about 2 miles; you will see Hoganos (formerly Miss Steel). You will go about 3 miles traveling along the Quemahoning Dam. Camp Harmony will be on the right.
From the south, take Route 219 to Jerome exit. Take Route 601 north about 1 miles and turn right. Follow signs and arrows.
