Anna E. Detrich, 94, formerly of Altoona, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday morning at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Juniata, daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret (Cline) Brooks.
She married James A. Detrich on Jan. 1, 1946, at First Baptist Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1976.
Surviving are three children: Sharon A. Maurer (Carey) of Carlisle, James D. (Pamela) of Bellefonte and Daniel P. (Carol) of Hollidaysburg; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verla Eggers.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Miller.
Anna was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School and retired in 1985 from the Altoona Area School District as a teachers' aide. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess and Sunday school teacher for more than 50 years.
Friends will be received from 9:30 until the 11:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at First Baptist Church, Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
