ROARING SPRING - The Altoona Sunrise Rotary Club will hold the 19th annual Becky Sheetz Memorial Golf Tournament on Thursday at Iron Masters Country Club.
Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Special Olympics of Blair County, The Arc of Blair County and the Rotary Club of Altoona Sunrise Foundation.
Becky Sheetz was a strong advocate for people with disabilities until her untimely death from breast cancer at the age of 38.

The Becky Sheetz Recreation Center was named in her honor and now houses The Arc of Blair County and serves individuals with developmental disabilities.
Special Olympics provides training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with disabilities while the mission of The Arc is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults and their families through education, advocacy, support and socialization.
The Rotary Club of Altoona Sunrise Foundation provides services and support to local and international communities.
Registration for this year's tournament is $100 per golfer, which includes golf and lunch. Golfers have the option of teeing off at 8 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Celebrity golfers for the tournament include past Pittsburgh Pirates Grant Jackson, Rick Reuschel, and Ken Macha.
A variety of awards will be up for grabs, and golfers have the chance to win great prizes, including a vehicle, valued up to $25,000, courtesy Blue Knob Auto for a hole in one.
The 19th annual Becky Sheetz Memorial Golf Tournament is being sponsored by many area businesses. Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield, M&T Bank, Pepsi, Sheetz Inc. and 84 Lumber are this year's platinum sponsors.
