"Fund A Cure for Pancreatic Cancer" will be held at the Altoona Curve on Friday.
The Greg and Cathy Griffith Foundation, along with sponsors the Alto-Reste Park Cemetery and The Good Funeral Home, will host a sports memorabilia Silent Auction during the game.
A selection of Altoona Curve, Pittsburgh Pirate and Pittsburgh Steeler collectibles will be on hand for fans to enjoy, with proceeds from the auction to fund pancreatic cancer research.
Andrea Bolan, president of the Friends of the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library, presented a $10,000 check to Janet Eldred, director of the library, on June 16 at the annual library board meeting. The Friends of the Library held used book sales, a Christmas Closet sale, a yard sale, a trivia party and a Christmas auction to raise money for the library. In addition to the check, the Friends also funded a customer counter, receipt machines, a cash register, a vacuum and many more items for the new library facility. Attendees are invited to wear purple to promote awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Families will enjoy the post-game fireworks compliments of the Alto-Reste Park Cemetery and The Good Funeral Home.
