Hollidaysburg Church of Brethren 1028 Penn St., Hollidaysburg, will host "Rockin' the Lot," a music and food festival, from 3 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23.
The praise festival features local musical groups including Extoller, Vox Nova, Stones of the Rock and the First Baptist Church Worship Band.
Food for sale will include wings, ox roast sandwiches, hot dogs, walking tacos and gobs. There are children's activities, a silent auction of donated items and shaded seating. Admission and parking are free.
Proceeds will benefit the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation in honor of Brielle Harmon, 2, of Roaring Spring.
Brielle has been diagnosed with Leigh's Disease, one specific form of a mitochondrial disorder that affects the central nervous system.
Currently there is not a cure for Leigh's Disease or any mitochondrial diseases. The Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren is working to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for Leigh's Disease and other mitochondrial diseases.
