Beverly J. Low, 63, Gaithersburg, Md., died Sunday morning at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert H. and Rosalie M. (Reese) Thon. She married Boyd C. Low on June 5, 1968, in Winchester, Va., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 2011.
Surviving are two granddaughters: Kerryn E. Low of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Karley R. Low in Arizona; two brothers: Thomas S. (Becky) Thon of Thurmont, Md., and Robert Paul (Mary) Thon of Duncansville; three sisters: Nancy (George) Speacht of Williamsport, Joan (Jesse) Egar of Walkersville, Md., and Romaine Yingling; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Boyd Caleb Low II, on Nov. 22, 1999; and three sisters: Penny Egar, Barbara Young and Patricia Mineo.
Beverly was employed as a waitress at the Golden Bull Grand Cafe in Gaithersburg, Md. She enjoyed cooking.
Friends will be received from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home Inc., Bellwood, the Rev. David H. Roesch officiating. Committal will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
