Clyde E. Burket, 93, Duncansville, died Monday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Chester Hileman and Catherine (Porta) Burket. He married Alma Dickinson on Aug. 29, 1948, in Pittsburgh.
Surviving are his wife, with whom he shared nearly 66 years of marriage; a daughter, Lee of Duncansville; three sons: Terry of Altoona, Kim of Stewartstown and Kevin of Seattle, Wash.; three grandchildren; a great-grandson; and two sisters: Florence Jackson and Elizabeth McDowell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brian C., in 1991.
Clyde was a 1939 graduate of Altoona High School and received a bachelor's degree from Penn State University. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII and retired as a teacher at Admiral Peary Area Vocational-Technical School. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Altoona, and enjoyed working with stained glass and woodworking.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. by the Rev. John Bonebrake. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
