Mary Ann (Guzic) Walter, 77, Lilly, went to her eternal rest Monday surrounded by her family at her residence.
She was born in Lilly, daughter of the late William and Victoria (Latoche) Guzic.
Mary Ann was the loving mother of six children: Mary Jo Carmosino and husband, Nicholas, Sheree Law, Victoria Yarnish and husband Jayme, Connie Bono and husband, Rick, Jody Walter and Joanne Seymour and husband, Randy.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Nicholas and Angela Carmosino, Taylor Tempton, Samuel, Zachary and Victoria Law, Richard, Abby and Ally Bono, Collin and Carter Seymour; a great-granddaughter, Myla Law; two siblings: Raymond Guzic and wife, Lillian, and Angeline Filak and husband, Francis; two sisters-in-law: Bonnie and Mary Guzic; as well as nieces, nephews and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by Joseph Walter; two brothers: William and Jacob Guzic; and a son-in-law, Samuel Law.
Mary Ann was a 1954 graduate of Lilly High School. She was a devoted mother who supported her family as a waitress and also as a caregiver. She enjoyed playing bingo, cards, slot machines, tickets and spending time with her family. She was known for her sense of humor and her crazy antics that she enjoyed sharing with others.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Thomas F. Cloherty Funeral Home, Lilly, where a vigil for the deceased will be held Wednesday afternoon. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Our Lady of the Alleghenies Catholic Church, Lilly, Monsignor John R. Sasway as celebrant. Committal will be at the convenience of the family.
