Maude E. Oakley, 94, Altoona, passed away Wednesday in her home.
She was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Floyde B. (Miller) Yohn. She married William J. Oakley Jr., who preceded her in death on July 1, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane E. Kelley of Altoona; three grandchildren: Tracy L. Detrich and husband, Master Gunnery Sgt. Mark, of Camp Lejeune, N.C., Tammy L. Summers and husband, Pastor Jeff, of Holly Ridge, N.C., and John W. Kelley IV of Altoona; and five great-grandchildren: Ariel D. Detrich, Victoria R. Detrich, Zachary T. Summers, Bethany G. Summers and Timothy W. Summers, all in North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Robert; three sisters: Miriam Ritchey, Joyce Johnson and Estella Crabtree; and a brother, Robert Yohn.
Maude was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School, a homemaker and a member of the Juniata United Methodist Church. She dedicated her life to serving others.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata. Friends will also be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, July 21, 2014, at Juniata United Methodist Church, 808 N. Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor Brent Salsgiver officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
