Alma M. Loop, 84, formerly of Lakemont, died Thursday at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Carson Valley, daughter of the late Cecil H. and Elsie (Hale) McKee. She married Horace M. Loop, and he preceded her in death in 1995.
Surviving are three daughters: Connie L. Bookhamer, Cheryl E. Tipton and Susan L. Packard (Harold); a son, Dennis S. (Julie); 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five sisters: Lois Plowman, Helen Settlemyer, Beverly Briggs, Sharon Diven and Carol Igou; a brother, Richard McKee; and her favorite aunt and best friend, Vergie Diefenbaugh.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Shirley Diven, Bessie McCoy and Bernadine Houck; a brother, Eugene McKee; a great-grandson, Timothy Myers; and a son-in-law, John B. Tipton.
Alma retired from GTE Sylvania after 25 years of service, and after retirement she worked for Gardners Candies. She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, and she enjoyed bingo.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, Pastor Kathy D. Colebank officiating. Interment will be in Carson Valley Cemetery.
