Jason Michael Eugene Fetter, 7, Bedford, began a new life on Friday.
He was born at UPMC Bedford Memorial, Everett.
Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Anna (Fetter) and Charles Oldham of Bedford; and his father, Jeffery McKissick and fiancee, Michele, of Tyrone and her children, Trinity Burd and Serenity Sollenberger. He is also loved by two siblings: Charles Oldham Jr. and Kaylee Vance; his grandparents: Janet and Denny Holmes and Jerry Fetter; step-grandparents, Russell and Doreen Oldham; great-grandparents: Ruth Rankin, and Eugene and Ruth Fetter; aunts and uncles: Terri Adomnik and husband, Walter, Jerry Fetter Jr. and girlfriend, Nova Ressler, Michael Fetter, Rebecca Campbell, Daniel McKissick and Wayne Oldham and girlfriend, Heidi Kagarise; and many cousins.
He was greeted by his late great-grandfather, David Rankin.
Jason had completed first grade at Bedford Elementary School. He loved attending summer camp at Bedford County Parks and Recreation Department. He enjoyed being outdoors, climbing trees, riding four-wheelers and playing with monster trucks, PlayStation, Xbox and his superheroes.
Jason gave a final gift in life by participating in organ donation.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. today, July 15, 2014, and 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at Manns Choice Church of God, 6150 Allegheny Road, Manns Choice. The family would like to ask family and friends to bring your photos and memories to share.
A new life celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the church, Pastor Dan Leister officiating. Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
The family request that floral tributes be made in the form of living arrangements that may be planted or to a fund established in Jason's name at the Altoona First Savings Bank, 100 W. Pitt St., Bedford, PA 15522.
