Joseph J. Kristofco Jr., 83, Parma, Ohio, formerly of Johnstown, died Monday at Metro General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born in Johnstown, son of Joseph J. Sr. and Catherine (Kokoruda) Kristofco.
Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy A. (Blaschak); a daughter, Annett Kristofco of Johnstown; and special "daughters": Carol Devine and Joan Spurio.
He was the last survivor of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marie.
Joseph was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and retired from General Motors Co. He was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church in Parma and a third-degree Knight of Columbus.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Johnstown, where a brief service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014. This will be followed by a funeral liturgy at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Johnstown, Monsignor Raymond Balta and Father James Batcha as celebrants. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 5500 W. 54th St., Parma, OH 44129, in memory of Joseph Kristofco Jr.
