Carol A. (Hoover) Kane, 65, Altoona, died Sunday at her home after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Robert M. and Faye I. (Brandt) Hoover. She married Paul D. "Pete" Kane on Sept. 11, 1989, in Altoona, and he died Jan. 11, 1995.
Surviving are three daughters: Tina (Timothy) McCall, Paula (Bob) Salyards and Christina (Chris) Escott; three sons: Pete, Brandon and Robin; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Judy A. (Thomas) Cheslock.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gary M. Hoover.
Carol was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School and had been employed as a manager at Denny's in Altoona. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Brotherhood and Cesare Battisti Club and a social member of the Newburg Fire Company, Logan Township. She enjoyed NASCAR and the Washington Redskins.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, by the Rev. Dr. George W. Bailey.
