Carol A. Baum, 75, Jersey Shore, passed away late Sunday evening at her home.
Formerly of Altoona, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Helen M. (Shawley) Westbrook. She married James F. Baum on Sept. 21, 1963, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Cresson.
Surviving are her husband; three sons: Mark (Kimberly) of Glen St. Mary, Fla., Terry (Tammy) of Jersey Shore and Alan of Homer City; five grandchildren; two brothers: William Westbrook in Delaware and Ronald Lee Westbrook in South Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Deanna Westbrook in Delaware.
Carol was a homemaker and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Juniata, Frohsinn Singing Society and Blair County Motorcycle Touring Club. She enjoyed Thursday night ladies bowling, volunteering at the St. Vincent de Paul Food for Families Soup Kitchen with Sister Paula DelGrosso and at Altoona Hospital, playing cards, riding motorcycles, playing drums with her band and singing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Pastor John Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
