Teresa A. Soldenwagner, 69, Altoona, died peacefully Friday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank X. and Rose A. (Rimbeck) Soldenwagner.
Surviving are a daughter, Roseann Rhone and husband, Gary, of Altoona; two grandchildren: Alyssa and Jordan Rhone; and two sisters: Rosemary Eckert and Barbara Smouse and husband, Charles, all of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Soldenwagner.
Teresa retired from Giant Eagle after 15 years of service and had previously worked for 32 years at Warnaco. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, and the Swiss Rifle Club.
Teresa loved cooking and enjoyed bingo, crafts, needlepoint, reading and praying the rosary. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 15, 2014, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church officiated by Monsignor Timothy Stein. Committal will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
