Officials in Bedford County are watching today's storms and preparing, but the effects aren't expected to be as bad as Wednesday night's storms and flooding.
"It'll be normal heavy rain. It'll move a little bit of debris," county Emergency Management Director Dave Cubbison said about 5 p.m. Thursday. "It's not going to be like it was yesterday, nor is it going to be like it was today."
County waters have been receding steadily and several previously closed roads have reopened, Cubbison said.
