The Blair County?Antique Auto Club will hold its annual "Cruisin' at the Park" show June 20 to 22 at Lakemont Park,?Altoona. It is sponsored by Five Star Mitsubishi, Altoona, and Beatty's Carpet Cleaners.
This year's events will take place from noon to 8 p.m. June 20, 8 a.m. to closing June 21 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 22.
This will be the first year for a swap meet to be part of the schedule. Vehicles, as well as parts, will be offered for sale on?Saturday and Sunday, with set-up on Friday.
Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 pre-registered vehicles. Also this year, the club will be celebrating 50 years of the Ford Mustang. The first Mustangs registered will be placed on display according to date of manufacture, and every Mustang that is preregistered gets a commemorative 50th anniversary dash plaque.
There will be a $500 give-away on Saturday and Sunday. Eligible people include only those registered for all three days of the show, and the owner must be present at the time of the drawing with their car at the park.
There also will be a custom truck display, a live band on Friday and Saturday, a car audio competition, along with contests for Muffler Rappin', Teeter Totter, Multiple Car Meltdown and bingo.
An award will be given for the sponsor's top five picks.
Registration is $10 for a single day and $30 for a three-day registration. Two all-day ride and slide passes will be given to each three-day vehicle registration. The fee to set up at the swap meet is $10, which is refundable on the day of the event.
