Kerry S. "Big Guy" Robbins, 55, Altoona, died unexpectedly Saturday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Thomas and Betty (Detters) Robbins. He married Wendy L. Laich on June 28, 1993, in Frederick, Va. They were married for 21 years or, as Kerry would say, "forever."
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Brittany Robbins and boyfriend, Harley; two sons: Kerry D. and Thorne; two sisters: Tammy Huss and Shannon Hurst; a nephew, JP Robbins; two cousins: Thomas Boyles and Barry Snyder; a sister-in-law, Valerie Laich; and a special friend of the family, Alex.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Bonnie and Tanya; and two brothers: Shawn and Larry.
Kerry had been employed as a lead driver for Beacon Flag Car Inc., Tyrone, for many years.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona, by Bishop Barry Snyder of Kingdom of God Apostolic Church.
