In the summer of 1985, I moved to Bedford with my wife and three children.
I immediately joined the Van Zandt VA Center in Altoona. I have been an out-patient there with yearly visits that now, due to advanced age, have become semi-annual.
In all that time, I have been treated with expert care and courteous consideration with the medical, as well as the administrative, staff. I consider my membership a privilege and honor. I find it much like belonging to a fraternity.
I am 85 years old and owe much of that good fortune to my VA physician of the last 22 years, Dr. Trivan (Blue Team). I actually look forward to my visits. I often find my time in the waiting section to be too brief because of pleasant chatting with fellow comrades.
Advice to vets in Phoenix: Move to Altoona.
