Intro to Backpacking Hike: Techniques and Guidelines, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, meet in front of the park office. This is a two-mile hike. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and take a snack and plenty of water.
Johnstown Flood National Memorial, 733 Lake Road, South Fork, 495-4643
"Path of the Flood" Van Tour, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, meet at Johnstown Flood National Memorial Visitor Center. Tour is included with park admission. Reservations are required.
"Path of the Flood" Hike, beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, meet at Johnstown Flood National Memorial Visitor Center. This is a seven- to eight-mile hike over uneven terrain, lasting for four to five hours. Reservations are required.
"Journey Around Lake Conemaugh" van tour, meet at the visitor center to join a ranger-guided van tour of the Johnstown Flood National Memorial, including the Clubhouse of the South Fork Fishing and Hunting Club and the ruins of the South Fork Dam. The one-hour tours start at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily. The tour is free with $4 park admission.

Leave No Trace Scavenger Hunt Walk, 3 p.m. Saturday, meet at Muskrat Beach No. 3. This walk has some moderately difficult terrain. Wear sturdy shoes and bring drinking water.
Edible and Medicinal Wild Plants Walk, 7 p.m. Saturday, meet at the amphitheater. This walk is about one mile in length over moderately easy terrain. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
Library at the Lake, 10:30 a.m. Sunday, meet at small pavilion near the campground office. This week's topic is frogs. This event is for children ages 4-12 and they must be accompanied by an adult.
Nature at the Pond, noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, nature table at Pickerel Pond. This week's theme is Trees are Terrific!

Friday Evening Hiking Series - Lost Antler Trail, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, meet outside of the campground office. This hike is 1.5 miles long over easy terrain.

Whipple Cache Challenge, 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring plenty of water.
Paddling on Whipple, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, meet at the boat launch. Reservations are required. Not recommended for children younger than 8 and those under 18 must have adult present. Use park kayak or bring your own.
