Wanda Lois Hoover, 89, Savannah, Ga., passed away Monday in her sleep.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late George and Adda (Vipond) Courter. She married the late Adam J. Hoover Jr. in May 1945 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.
Surviving are four daughters: Rebecca Fitzpatrick, Barbara White, Betsy Hoover and Bobbie Vittery and their spouses; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Janet and Beverly.
Wanda graduated from Hollidaysburg High School in 1943. After leaving Hollidaysburg, she lived in several areas of the Northeast with Adam and their four daughters. She and Adam retired and moved back to Hollidays-burg. After several years, they moved again, this time to Florida, where they enjoyed golfing, playing cards and traveling with family.
A memorial service will be held in the Savannah, Ga., area in July.
