The Arc of Blair County is holding its fourth annual Kayak Fun Float on May 31.
Paddlers of all levels, including those never before in a kayak or canoe, are welcome to float down the Juniata River for a lazy day on the water.
The fun starts at 10:30 a.m. in the Linds Crossing section of Hollidaysburg and ends at Riverside Park in Williamsburg, where a chicken dinner will be available at no cost for all participants.
Event planners for the fourth annual Kayak Fun Float include (from left): front row — Lindsay Wagner in kayak, Maria Brandt, Rosemary Malone and Connie Traficante; back — Bill Wagner, Randy Hatch, Pat Benton and Doug Shaw. Absent from the photo are Angela Bucher, Ramona Brubaker, Lois Hampton and Joe Murgo.
Kayaks are available for rent and will be delivered and waiting at the registration area. Throughout the day will be entertainment along the water. Born and the Beanstalk will be bringing everyone home with their blues rock music, prizes will be given away for most spirit and longest distance traveled to register, and games at Riverside Park will be available.
