Lillian A. Eicher, 93, The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, formerly of Altoona, died Wednesday at the Village.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Frank and Lillian (Mumma) Duncan. She was twice married, first to Walter Brown and later to Eugene Eicher, both of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Kim and wife, Dorothy, of Carmel, Ind.; a daughter, Karen Walter and husband, Andy, of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren: Andrea Walter, Courtney Stroup (Justin), Nikole Eardly (Adam), Gina Narracci (Rob) and Eric Eicher (Jill); and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Randy Clark.
Lillian was a graduate of Altoona High School. She retired in 1975 as a nurse's aide from Valley View Home after many years of service. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Altoona. She was known as "Spunk" to many of her friends and will be remembered for her wit and sense of humor.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Stevens Memorial Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602, in memory of Spunk.
