George David Decker, 90, 354 Hancock St., Tyrone, died Sunday at Epworth Manor.
He was born in Northwood, son of the late Howard A. and Bessie L. (Ewing) Decker Sr. He married Verna Carol "Tim" (Phillips) on Oct. 25, 1947, in Tyrone. She died May 19, 2000.
Surviving are two sons: Ronald C. (Chardae) of Duncannon and Michael G. of Tyrone; two grandchildren: Lori Lightner and Ronald C. Decker II; a great-grandson and three great-granddaughters, all of Duncannon; and a sister, Millie Adams of Florida.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Beryl Naylor; and six brothers: Howard Jr., William, Samuel, Homer, Oscar and Harry.
He retired in 1985 from Westvaco as a roll finisher, after 34 years service.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. In his younger days he enjoyed golf and still watched golf on television.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014, the Rev. Bernard Bookhammer officiating. Interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
