Dorothy G. "Dolly" Stultz, 87, formerly of Huston Township, rural Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday afternoon at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late William A. and Alice (Hicks) Waite. She married Robert E. "Pete" Stultz on Feb. 15, 1949, in Winchester, Va., and he passed away on Aug. 28, 1994.
Surviving are two daughters: Gaynelle L. Longenecker and husband, R. Max, and Nellie Jean Frye and husband, Bob, all of rural Williamsburg; a daughter-in-law, Marsha Williams and husband, Ron, of rural Williamsburg; six grandchildren: Mark Longenecker, Amy Kennedy, Jeff Frye, Corina Frye, Rob Stultz and Michelle Welch; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by a son, William E. "Bill," on Dec. 26, 1977; a grandson, Matthew Longenecker, on June 1, 1974; two brothers: Dewayne "Bud" Waite and William "Bill" Waite Jr.; and a sister, Mary Belle Delozier.
Dolly was primarily a homemaker and farm wife, assisting in the daily operation of the family dairy farms near Piney Creek, rural Williamsburg. She was a longtime member of Smithfield Church, rural Martinsburg. She enjoyed reading her Bible, canning, playing the piano and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Smithfield Church, Pastor James W. Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be given to Smithfield Church Memorial Fund or the Evangelistic Faith Missions through her church.
