Harry C. Yealey, 75, Altoona, died Friday morning at Golden LivingCenter-Hillview after an extended illness.
He was born in Connellsville, son of the late James Edward and Sara (Reid) Yealey. He married Pauline P. Frederick on May 15, 1971, at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, and she died March 24, 2007.
He is survived by five siblings: John of Connellsville, Dale of Standish, Mich., Linda Wolf of Flint, Mich., Vera Lubish of Uniontown, and Jessica Reid in California.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James; and two sisters: Sara Matthews and Shirley Wolf.
Harry attended Roosevelt Junior High School, Connellsville. He retired in November 2001 as a baker from Stroehmann Bakery, Altoona, with 38 years of service and had previously worked at Bimbo Bakery. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and he enjoyed watching sports.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Jones Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service outside of Mass at noon, Father David R. Rizzo officiating. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
