Dorothy Florence Eicher, 93, Claysburg, passed away Friday at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Thomas W. and Alice (Musselman) Lingenfelter. She married Alfred George Eicher on June 21, 1940, in Winchester, Va. He passed away Dec. 21, 1988.
Surviving are a son, Samuel T. and wife, Sandra, of Claysburg; a daughter, Mary Lou Feathers and husband, Delmas, of Claysburg; a daughter-in-law, Betty, of Claysburg; three grandsons: Marty Feathers, Clayton Eicher and Kenneth Claycomb; and three great-grandchildren: Amber and Seth Eicher and Aaron Claycomb.
She was preceded in death by a son, Fred M.
Dorothy was a 1939 graduate of Claysburg High School. She was a member of Claysburg United Methodist Church. A homemaker who cared for her mother and father, Dorothy enjoyed writing poetry, playing the harmonica and caring for her grandson, Marty.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Gary Blankley officiating. Interment will be at Claysburg Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to her church. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
