Frederick Morgan Jr., 61, Duncansville, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Frederick Sr. and Sara (Kling) Morgan. He married Janet McCarty on Aug. 13, 1997, in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Cheri Morgan (Doug) of Sproul; a son, Frederick T. Morgan of McConnellsburg; four stepdaughters: Valerie Corle of Holliday, Fla., Melissa Cole (Joe) of Duncansville, Brenda Hartman (Dale) of Claysburg and Heather Malloy (Brenten) of Martinsburg; 13 grandchildren; three brothers: Kenneth, Andrew and William; two sisters: Susan Colvin and Cindy Sylvester (Gregg); two stepbrothers: Alex "Butch" and Larry; two stepsisters: Nancy and Carol; and two half sisters: April and Debbie.
Fred attended Puzzletown Road Bible Church. He retired in 2007 as an owner/operator of Kaplan Trucking Co. and then was employed as a carrier for the Altoona Mirror. He enjoyed tinkering with motors, carpentry and mowing.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday, April 21, 2014, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, Pastors Jon Gross and Donald Robson officiating. Interment will be at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Puzzletown Road Bible Church, Duncansville, or New Life Alliance Church, East Freedom.
