Lillian May Clapper of Allegheny Lutheran Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Duncansville, will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. April 23 in the Community Room of the home.
She was born April 23, 1914, in Allegheny Township, the daughter of Charles W. and Bertha Jane (Young) Clapper. She was never married.
Miss Clapper retired from The Capital Press, Duncansville.
She is a member of the Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a children's Sunday School teacher for more than 75 years. She also was a member of the Christie Gleichert Circle and the Duncansville Historical Society and loves to play dominoes.
