Athlete of the week achievement: Wyland won the 100 and 200 dashes in a dual meet with DuBois, the 100 and 200 dashes and 400 relay in a win over Philipsburg-Osceola and was the meet MVP in helping the Lady Tigers win the West Perry Invitational by placing first in the 100 and 200 dashes and 400 relay.
Season update: Wyland has the area's top times in the 100 dash (12.48 seconds) and 200 dash (26.07).
Coach Don Tantius' quote: "It was the first week-and-a-half of practice, which is the toughest of the season, and the weather was terrible. And she wasn't working the hardest. [Hollidaysburg boys coach] Adam [Ulery] said, 'she doesn't know - she has no idea. She's going to see.' I think now she's starting to realize she's pretty good. But she's still so young."
