Richard "Dick" Conzo, 83, Altoona, died on his birthday, Thursday, at UPMC Altoona due to complications from leukemia.
He was born in Dysart, son of the late John and Esther (Menz) Conzo. He married Pat Jacobs on April 19, 1952, in Frugality.
Surviving are his wife of more than 61 years; a daughter, Pamela Schuh (Brian) of Altoona; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by two brothers: Gene and infant John; and a sister, Virginia Springer.
Dick was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Beasley Motor Rebuilders, Altoona, for 46 years and retired in 1994. He was a member of the Juniata VFW, and he enjoyed hunting, being outside in the sun and traveling.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, and 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, April 14, 2014, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville, the Rev. Donald Boslett officiating. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
