Price leads Scarlet Dragons to four-set victory over Northern Cambria

MARTINSBURG - Matt Price recorded 17 service points and 10 kills in leading Central to their first victory against winless Northern Cambria in high school volleyball Thursday.

The Dragons won the first, 25-9, then lost the second, 19-25, before closing out the match by winning two straight, 25-14 and 25-15.

Austin Berkheimer contributed 10 service points for Central.

SERVICE POINTS

CENTRAL: Price 17, Berkheimer 10, Madden 9, Knauss 6, Little 5, Gahagan 2.

JV: Central def. Northern Cambria, 25-18, 27-25.

Records: Northern Cambria (0-5); Central (1-4).

BG improves to 5-1

Bishop Guilfoyle defeated DuBois, 23-25, 25-13, 25-17, 25-15, at the Pleasant Valley gymnasium.

Jamey Brumbaugh had 18 service points and 20 digs. Ben Kasun added 10 kills and 48 assists, and Nick Little had 10 service points and 10 kills.

Sam Keating led BG with 17 kills.

n Spring Cove lost its match with Park Forest as it was swept, 25-23, 25-22, 15-8, in junior high volleyball.

n Alexa Dunchack had eight service points and Caroline Semelsberger added five kills for Bishop Carroll as it fell to Richland, 25-23, 25-18.
