Fundraiser set for May
The third annual Striking Chords Against Cancer concert will be held from 2 to 10:30 p.m. May 31 at the Altoona Railroaders Museum.
The lineup will feature 10 acts - four acoustic and six bands.
This year's lineup is:

3 p.m. - The Syrins
4 p.m. - Travis Singer
4:30 p.m. - 7th Gear
5:30 p.m. - Jackson Monsour
6 p.m. - Flight 19
7 p.m. - Matt Wagner
7:30 p.m. - Shallow 9
8:30 p.m. - The Backyard Rockers
9 p.m. - Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased the day of event or in advance at Altoona Giant Eagle.
All proceeds from the event go to the American Cancer Society.

Nardini heads local concert
On May 3, Front Row Productions will present a fundraiser concert featuring Norman Nardini at 7:30 p.m. May 3 at The Church in the Middle of the Block Cultural Center, 217 5th Ave., Altoona.
Proceeds from the concert will benefit the non-profit organization Monica's Heart Greyhound Adoption (www.monicasheart.com).
Nardini is a Pittsburgh rock legend who had hits with songs such as "Love Dog" and "If You Don't Love Me (Someone Will)." Opening for Nardini and his band will be Nate Myers and The Aces, who have opened for such acts as Kansas, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Rick Derringer.
A pre-concert reception which includes complementary appetizers and beverages, will begin at 6:30 p.m.

CLP holding open auditions
EBENSBURG - Cresson Lake Playhouse will hold open auditions for Disney's "Camp Rock - The Musical" at 11 a.m. April 26 at Cresson Lake's Ebensburg Rehearsal Hall, 526 W. Ogle St.
Cresson Lake Playhouse welcomes both newcomers and experienced actors to audition for Disney's fun-filled "Camp Rock - The Musical" featuring a variety of roles at all performance levels. Auditions are open, easy and friendly, and no prior experience is necessary.
Disney's "Camp - The Musical" is under the direction of Molly Riva.
The show will cast 12 to 20 teen roles and three adult roles. Those auditioning should bring sheet music for 16 bars of either an up tempo Broadway song or rock song. Accompaniest will be provided and those auditioning should dress comfortably so you can dance. Please bring all schedule conflicts with you at the time of your audition.
"Camp Rock - The Musical" will be presented June 19 through July 5.
