Strasser hit lifts PC over Guilfoyle

LILLY - Tyler Strasser's single scored Nate George with no outs in the bottom of the eighth inning to lift Penn Cambria to a 4-3 win over Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic in high school baseball Tuesday.

PC tied the score with two outs in the bottom of the seventh when Zane Itle doubled in two runs.

BG's Will Lozinak had two hits, as did PC's Garrett Martynuska.

ROARING SPRING - Brady Nicewonger struck out nine over four innings, and Preston Karstetter came on to finish up by striking out the side in the fifth as Spring Cove posted a 13-4 win over Bishop Carroll in junior high baseball.

Karstetter also had two hits as the Scarlet Dragons evened their record at 1-1.

NBC?juniors fall

LOYSBURG - Forbes Road defeated Northern Bedford, 7-3, in junior high baseball.
