Sydney Potter, 9-year-old daughter of Robert Jr. and Robin Potter of Coalport, recently donated more than 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love, which provides hairpieces for children with cancer and other medical conditions that result in permanent hair loss. Sydney is currently waiting for a liver transplant. She also has Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a mild form of autism. Her parents are teaching her the importance of “paying it forward,” so Sydney decided to donate her hair for other children in need. Her hair was cut at Master Cuts in the Logan Valley Mall, Altoona. She is in fourth grade at Glendale Elementary School, Flinton.
