William "Bill" Mattern, 83, passed away Tuesday in Columbus, Ohio.
He was born in Hollidaysburg, son of the late Glenn and Annabelle (Shinafelt) Mattern.
Surviving are a daughter, Valerie (Mark) McKenzie; a son, Jeffrey (Kate); three grandchildren: Becky (Matt) Mothersbaugh and Quinn and Gage Mattern; a great-grandson, Jack Mothersbaugh; two sisters: Betty (Charles) Brenneman and Kay Biddle; and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; and a sister, Marjorie Mumaugh.
Bill worked with Ford Motor Co. for 33 years in Cleveland, Ohio. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything, from tractors to motorcycles. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio, followed by a funeral service at 4 p.m.
