Edwin R. Bolt, 86, Duncansville, died Monday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Sugar Grove, Va., son of the late Joseph M. and Ava (Shuler) Bolt. He married Leah A. Greenstreet on Dec. 30, 1950.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years; two sons: James E. and wife, Linda, of Littlestown and David J. and wife, Mary, of Duncansville; six grandchildren: Rebecca, Travis, Daniel, Mark, Heather and Anna; and four great-grandchildren: Fletcher, Aliyah, Flint and Maggie.
He was a 1945 graduate of Bel Air High School, Md., and served in the U.S. Army in WWII and Korea. He retired from Letterkenny Depot in Chambersburg after 34 years of service in engineering. He was a non-denominational Christian and enjoyed woodcarving.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014, at the Bolt Farm, 130 Bolt Lane, Duncansville, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., Ministers Albert J. Knaggs and Delmar Stockwell officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
