Bishop Carroll is one of four remaining unbeaten teams in the PIAA. One of the other three is fellow Class A semifinalist St. John Neumann. The other two are New Castle boys (Class AAAA) and Neumann-Goretti girls (Class AA). ... Rowan already has committed to Pitt. His father, a Leopards assistant coach, played college ball for Notre Dame and St. John's. ... Minnie, who averages 11 rebounds and six blocks, is unsigned but is looking at Virginia Tech, Memphis, Tulane, Dayton, Duquesne and Kansas State, among others, according to Lincoln Park athletic director/assistant coach Mike Bariski. ... The Jaguars' only loss came against New Castle on Dec. 28. Carroll had two games decided by 10 points or less heading into the playoffs; it's had three in the postseason.
