Rose Marie Santa Croce, 93, Altoona, passed away Thursday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Rocco and Emma (Molino) DiFolco. She married Eugene "Gene" Santa Croce on Aug. 17, 1940, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and he died July 26, 2006.
Surviving are two daughters: Linda Grove of Altoona and Donna (Steve Jr.) Macionsky of Indio, Calif.; four grandchildren: Jason Grove of Altoona, Steve Macionsky III of Venice Beach, Calif., Travis Macionsky of Los Angeles, Calif., and Brian (Susan) Macionsky of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Patty DiFolco.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sisters: Madoline Cullen and Mary Pasquino; and three brothers: Richard, Louis and John.
Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the St. Anthony Society.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum.
