Richard A. "Dick" "Butch" Lightner, 74, formerly of Altoona, died Monday afternoon at Epworth Manor, Tyrone.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Donald E. and Marjorie V. (Holliday) Lightner.
Surviving are a brother, Walter I. of Pittston; three nieces; a nephew; and several cousins.
Richard was a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1966 graduate of Robert Morris College. He retired as the stationmaster of the Greyhound bus terminal in Altoona in 2005. Prior to that, he had been a sales manager for Fuller Brush Co. and Pepperidge Farms for several years. He was an active member of the former Faith United Methodist Church in Altoona.
Richard was active in his high school class reunion committee, and he was also involved with United Commercial Travelers.
Friends will be received from 9 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, March 14, 2014, at Gilden Barton Funeral Home, 1401 Ninth Ave., Altoona, the Rev. Evelyn Madison officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
