The head coaches for the ninth annual Altoona Mirror Basketball Classic are set.
Altoona Area High School's Paul Hasson and Tyrone Area's Luke Rhoades have been selected to coach the Blair County teams while Portage's Lance Hudak and Homer-Center's Bob Rado will head the Central PA teams.
The Classic will be played Friday, March 28, in Mount Aloysius College's new gymnasium. The girls game will tip at 6:30 p.m., followed by the boys game at 8:15.
A product of Bishop Guilfoyle and then St. Vincent's College, Hasson has spent five seasons at Altoona, and this year's team won the District 6, Class AAAA championship. Hasson, who coached previous stints at BG and Tyrone, has a career record of 204-195 in 16 seasons overall.
Rado is winding up his 29th season, including the past seven at Homer-Center, his alma mater.
He has won more than 100 games at three different schools - Marion Center, Indiana and Homer-Center - and his career record is 409-314.

A graduate of IUP, Rado went 131-69 in eight years at Marion Center, 146-192 in 14 years at Indiana and is 132-53 at Homer-Center.
Rhoades recently completed his eighth season at Tyrone Area, his alma mater, where he's led the Lady Eagles to a record of 104-86, including three Mountain League titles. Rhoades graduated from Juniata College.
Hudak recently concluded his 12th season as head coach at Portage, where the Lady Mustangs established a new school record for victories with 23 and won the WestPAC Conference in 2012-13.
Portage has finished as the District 6 Class A runner-up in the last two years, amassing a record of 45-7 during that time, and 75-26 in the last four years.
Hudak is a graduate of Portage and UPJ.
Tickets for the Classic are priced at $5 for the doubleheader for adults and $3 for students 12 and under. Tickets will be sold at the Mirror (301 Cayuga Avenue) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Team rates (15 tickets for $45) are available by calling Elin Woods at 946-7536.
The doubleheader, sponsored by Guy Landolfi CPA, is played in memory of Big John and Tom Riley, and proceeds benefit the Big John Riley Scholarship Fund.
