Kent E. Ritchey, 82, Duncansville, died Sunday at home.
He was born in Freedom Township, son of the late Clair and Malinda (Stenger) Ritchey.
Surviving are two daughters: Lucy Weiss (Lester) of Altoona and Laurie Stephens (Mitch) of Raleigh, N.C.; a son, Aaron of Hollidaysburg; five grandchildren: Ashley and Robert Robinson, Joshua and Alyce Ritchey and Matthew Stephens; six great-grandchildren; a sister, June Stultz of Hollidaysburg; and his loving longtime companion, Mary Reffner of Dayton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce.
Kent attended Hollidaysburg High School and graduated from Williamson Trade School in Media. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He retired from McLanahan Corp. as the head of the contract sales division on Aug. 19, 1995, after 30 years of service. He was a member of Simpson-Temple United Parish.
Kent enjoyed baseball, home renovations, time with family and golf.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Duncansville Evangelical Lutheran Church by Pastor Jaime Olson. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
