Dylan Mountain, an Altoona graduate, finished second in the 5K at Cornell with an NCAA provisional mark of 14:49.56 for Lock Haven. It was the fastest time for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference runner this season and ranks 31st in NCAA Division II.
The performance earned Mountain the PSAC Athlete of the Week.
Mountain followed that performance by winning the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:53.79 at the PSAC Championships in Lewisburg on Saturday.

Everett graduate Alex Zanella placed second in the mile run at the PSAC championships with a time 5:02.57 for the California, Pa. women's track and field team.

Bishop Carroll graduate Emily Waksmunski placed second in the 1,000-meter race at the Patriot League Championships with a time of 2:55.98 for the Bucknell track and field team.
She was also a member of the 3,200-meter relay team which also placed second at the championships with a time of 9:05.48 and was a member of the distance medley relay team which placed third with a time of 12:20.17.

Bellwood-Antis graduate Brian Leap finished eighth place in the men's long jump for the Penn State track and field team at the Big Ten Championships. At the same event, Altoona graduate Wade Endress finished eighth in the mile run.

Altoona graduate Tyler Mandley and Northern Bedford graduate Trenton Barnes were both members of the Juniata 800-meter relay team that finished second overall at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 1:37.87.
At the same event, Huntingdon graduate Alissa Sellers competed in both the long jump and triple jump for the Juniata women's track and field team. Sellers took fourth in both events with jumps of 4.96 meters and 10.05 meters, respectively.
Altoona graduate Shalen Perehinec was part of the Juniata women's 800-meter relay team that placed fourth in 1:52.15.

Elle Collins, a Hollidaysburg graduate, led all scorers with 17 points for the St. Vincent women's basketball team in a playoff victory over Grove City and led all scorers with 25 points in the semifinals against Washington & Jefferson.
Collins was named to the second team of the all-Presidents Athletic Conference women's basketball squad after leading the league in free-throw percentage, 3-pointers made and finishing in the top 10 in scoring average and assist to turnover ratio.

Rachel McClain, a Hollidaysburg graduate, was named to the PAC honorable mention squad for her efforts on the Chatham University women's basketball team this past season.
McClain played just 15 games this season due to a season-ending injury on Jan. 18 but still was second on the team with 33 3-pointers and 23 steals. She was tied for second on the team with 210 points.

Daniel Roberts, an Altoona graduate, was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference's Player of the Week in men's volleyball for his efforts on the Penn State Altoona volleyball team.
Roberts averaged 3.5 kills per set and hit at a .310 clip while adding 1.38 digs per set and .88 blocks per set during the week.
Roberts is third in the AMCC with 106 kills and fifth in total digs with 92.
