Lloyd D. Grace, 71, Roaring Spring, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Don R. and Bernice L. (Garris) Grace. He married Patricia A. Zeth on July 17, 1965, in Newry.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Lloyd Jr. and wife, Dulcy, of Roaring Spring and Brian and wife, Nichole, of Brookes Mills; a daughter, Michelle Diehl of Roaring Spring; eight grandchildren: Ryan, Kayla, Greggory, Kaylena, Brayden, Natiyah, Dakota and Dom; two great-grandchildren: Noah and Addalyn; four brothers: Lester, Roger, Jesse and Bill; and three sisters: Elsie Hoover, Nancy Lankard and Mary Kay Musselman.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bob; a sister, Barbara Ann; and an infant brother.
Lloyd was a 1960 graduate of Roaring Spring High School and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Blandy. He retired as a route delivery driver from Galliker's Dairy and previously had been employed at Morrisons Cove Dairy and P.S. McGee Dairy. He then worked part time at Giant Eagle, Roaring Spring. He was a member of Christ Church, Roaring Spring, where he served as an elder, Sunday school teacher, missions committee member and lay minister and taught a Bible school class.
Lloyd enjoyed needlepoint, reading, spending time with his family and grandchildren and spreading God's word with his friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Christ Church, 7524 Woodbury Pike, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, Pastors Joel Kletzing and John Nothwang officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Christ Church Missions Fund.
