Auto club plans indoor swap meet
The Blair County Antique Auto Club requests that residents clean out their garages for its indoor swap meet, scheduled for March 23 at the Blair County Convention Center, Altoona.
The convention center will be full of parts for sale to fit vintage rides, as well as actual cars for sale inside and outside. Setup will be Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
The event includes a live indoor auction selling both automobiles and parts, starting at 1 p.m.

Women's Connection to hold luncheon
HOLLIDAYSBURG - Altoona Women's Connection will hold its "What Can Change YOUR Life?" luncheon at noon March 12 at The Blairmont Club, 265 Larch St.
Cost is $14 per person.
Victoria Smith of Elizabethtown will speak on "How a Porcelain Piggy Bank Had the Power to Change My Life."
The special feature will be a mini-concert by Victoria Smith.

Railway employees to meet Wednesday
The National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Prime Sirloin Buffet, Duncansville.
NARVRE is the only chartered national organization whose sole purpose is the protection of railroad pension rights. If you are a retired or veteran railroad employee (or widow) of any craft, you are invited to an informal meeting of NARVRE, Unit 173, Altoona.

The Altoona Duplicate Bridge Club has announced the winners of its recent games.

Feb. 20 - Peg Robinson and Hurd, first; Diana Colabrese and JoEllen Gehl, second.
Games are open to the public and are held at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at Park Hills Country Club, Altoona.

EBENSBURG -?The American?Federation of State, County and Municipal Emoloyees Sub-Chapter 8303 will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ebensburg Municipal Building.
AFSCME 8306 to meet in?Duncansville
DUNCANSVILLE - The executive board meeting of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Sub-Chapter 8306 will take place at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the AFSCME building at 161 Patchway Drive.
At 1:30 p.m., Blair County Sheriff Mitchell Cooper and Deputy R.J. Peo will introduce attendees to Lilly, a Belgian Malinois K-9 dog who is helping the sheriff's office by sniffing out explosive devices.
Participants are asked to arrive early so they can get refreshments before Lilly is brought into the room. All will need to remain seated during the demonstration.
The regular meeting will follow the demonstration.
If school is canceled that day because of the weather, the meeting will be too.
Fundraiser to aid Hollidaysburg library
DUNCANSVILLE - The Friends of the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library will hold a "No Work Fundraiser" to benefit the library at 11:30 a.m. March 13 at Marzoni's Brick Oven & Brewing Co., Patchway Drive.
Attendees can select lunch from three menu choices for $20, half of which will directly benefit the library. A door prize of a Marzoni's gift card will be awarded.
Sign-up can be done by calling the library at 695-5961, but reservations are not necessary.
