Bernadette Susanna Knee-Brehman, 99, residing with her grandson, Troy Deters and wife, Wendy, of Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior late Wednesday morning.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Johnathan R. and Martha Elizabeth (Williams) Henry. She was twice married, first to Samuel C. Knee, who preceded her in death on March 19, 1976. She then married Charles N. Brehman, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1989.
Surviving are three daughters: Mimi Rodgers of York Haven, Beverly Runyen (Jim) of Elverson and Susan Deters (Dan) of Williamsburg; a son-in-law, Jerry Bronson of Cape Coral, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters: Gloria Bronson and infant Sally Susanna; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Donna Knee; a son-in-law, George Rodgers; and two grandsons: Michael Rodgers and Charles Knee.
Bernadette was a member of Cove Forge United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg, for 40 years. She also attended Williamsburg Alliance Church and Williamsburg Senior Center.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, and 1 until the 2 p.m. funeral service Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Williamsburg Alliance Church, Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiating. Private interment will follow at Carson Valley Cemetery, rural Duncansville.
The family prefers that memorial contributions be given to the Williamsburg Volunteer Fire Department Station 90.
