John J. "Jack" Gray, 84, Ebensburg, died Thursday at home.
He was born in Bakerton, son of the late James P. and Gertrude (Blum) Gray.
Surviving are his wife, Louella; eight stepchildren; and four siblings: Kenneth and wife, Sara, Yvonne Puskar and husband, Joseph, Fred and wife, Julie, and Karen Bradley.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian; and two brothers: James and Richard.
Jack was a Korean War veteran. He retired from Bethlehem Mine 33, Ebensburg, and worked part time for Ron Davidson's Chevrolet. He was a member of American Legion Post 363, Ebensburg, and a life member of VFW Post 4963 and LOOM Lodge 681, both of Ebensburg, Carrolltown Fireman's Club and Bavarian Aid Society, Altoona.
Friends will be received from 2 until the 4 p.m. memorial service Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, the Rev. Dr. Francis Brosius officiating. Military rites will be accorded by VFW and American Legion.
