Barry L. Black, 68, Claysburg, passed away Thursday at Nason Hospital, Roaring Spring.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Harry and Anna (Dively) Black. He married Sandra K. Weyandt on July 27, 1973, in Osterburg.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Michele Black and companion, Jade Dively, of Claysburg; a very special grandson, Dakota Dively; five brothers: John, Gary, Donald, Harry and Robert; four sisters: Louise Ritchey, Anna Jean Weyandt, Rheda Ridenour and Joyce Musselman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.
Barry served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was employed at General Refractories, Claysburg, until they closed and then worked at the Dively family farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family, especially his favorite little buddy, Dakota.
His funeral service will be private.
